Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The idea for PoolAide began with an unfortunate one-in-a-million surgical mistake which had the unfortunate effect of a hematoma in the spine that left my wife parralized on the lower left side of her body. She was now confined to a wheelchair. We were living in Florida with warm weather all year long and we had a pool. Knowing water therapy is the best therapy I began thinking of how could I get my wife in the pool. We had had several therapy sessions with a water therapist at their location. It required two people to left her on the pool lift. The facility was not close, expensive and at times not convenient. I searched online for possible solutions. What I found was expensive, unattractive, required electricity and were permanently attached to the poolside. Attached is a drawing of my idea. It did not require her to transfer from a wheelchair.
